Rabbit Anti-SNRPC Recombinant Antibody (clone R09-6E9) (CAT#: VS3-FY1926)

This R09-6E9 recombinant monoclonal antibody exhibits high affinity to human SNRPC. It cross-reacts with rat. It is suitable for use in a variety of assays, including WB, IHC-F, IHC-P, ICC/IF, IP. It is advised to dilute the sample for improved detectability by western blot (dilution 1/500-1/1000), immunohistochemistry (dilution 1/50-1/100), immunofluorescence (dilution 1/50-1/200), immunoprecipitation (dilution 1/20). The binding specificity of the U1C antibody was determined using western blot analysis of U1C in rat lung lysates.

  • Function
  • Component of the spliceosomal U1 snRNP, which is essential for recognition of the pre-mRNA 5' splice-site and the subsequent assembly of the spliceosome. SNRPC/U1-C is directly involved in initial 5' splice-site recognition for both constitutive and regulated alternative splicing. The interaction with the 5' splice-site seems to precede base-pairing between the pre-mRNA and the U1 snRNA. Stimulates commitment or early (E) complex formation by stabilizing the base pairing of the 5' end of the U1 snRNA and the 5' splice-site region.
