Rabbit Anti-SORT1 Recombinant Antibody (clone R08-6G5) (CAT#: VS3-XY3511)
It is a recombinant rabbit antibody specific for SORT1 (Sortilin 1), which functions as a sorting receptor in the Golgi compartment and as a clearance receptor on the cell surface. The antibody specifically reacts with human, mouse and rat SORT1. This product has been reported for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin. The recommended dilutions of Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin is 1/500-1/1000 and 1/50-1/100.

Required for protein transport from the Golgi apparatus to the lysosomes by a pathway that is independent of the mannose-6-phosphate receptor (M6PR).
Lysosomal proteins bind specifically to the receptor in the Golgi apparatus and the resulting receptor-ligand complex is transported to an acidic prelysosomal compartment where the low pH mediates the dissociation of the complex.
