The anti-TNFSF10 pH-dependent antibody (VS-0825-YC342) is a pH-responsive antibody engineered to target human TNFSF10. This pH-switched monoclonal antibody (mAb) was developed by incorporating histidine residues into its variable regions, which results in pH-biased binding to TNFSF10. By leveraging the natural pH variations in different tissues and cellular compartments, this pH-responsive antibody facilitates precise targeting of TNFSF10 on cells and tissues. Human TNFSF10, also known as TRAIL, is a death ligand of the TNF superfamily. It induces apoptosis by binding to its cognate death receptors, and its ability to trigger programmed cell death makes it a therapeutic target for cancer.
