Recombinant Anti-VIP Eliminating Antibody, pH-Sensitive (c23.5 var.)

The anti-VIP eliminating antibody is an engineered pH-sensitive antibody against human VIP. VIP, part of the glucagon family, affects cardiovascular functions and exhibits antimicrobial properties. The antibody has a novel VIP-sweeping activity in vivo, which selectively eliminatesthe soluble VIP from plasma. Compared to conventional antibody, the mAb exerted in vivo efficacy by simultaneously engineering both pH-dependent antigen binding, to mimic the pH-dependent receptor-ligand binding of such endocytic receptors, and increased FcRn binding affinity at neutral pH, to mimic the cell-bound form of the receptors.
