The anti-VWA5A recombinant antibody (VW39) reacts with human VWA5A. VWA5A (BCSC-1) is a protein containing a von Willebrand factor type A domain. It is localized to the centrosome and acts as a tumor suppressor. VWA5A signaling is involved in the regulation of cell adhesion and migration; its expression is frequently lost or downregulated in breast and ovarian cancers, leading to increased metastatic potential. The anti-VWA5A antibody (VW39) has been tested in Immunohistochemistry (IHC).
