Recombinant anti-PREV intrabody in fusion with +36GFP works within cells to bind secifically to a retrovirus protein PREV particle protein, expressed in 293T cells. Intracellular antibody which disrupts the catalysis of the production of the xenoantigen galactose α 1,3 galactose and/or a polynucleotide construct which encodes an intracellular antibody which binds specifically to a retrovirus protein, such as a PERV particle protein.

GFP with a theoretical net charge of +36 (+36 GFP) penetrated several different mammalian cell lines at very low (nanomolar) concentrations. Cationic peptides and proteins have been observed to penetrate cells, and both natural and synthetic cell-penetrating peptides are widely used as delivery vehicles. However, whereas a covalent link between the cell-penetrating peptide and its cargo is typically required.
