Recombinant Anti-APOA1 Eliminating Antibody, pH-Sensitive (AI-11 var.)

The anti-APOA1 eliminating antibody is an engineered pH-sensitive antibody against human APOA1. APOA1 is a main HDL protein, crucial for cholesterol efflux and lipid metabolism. The antibody has a novel APOA1-sweeping activity in vivo, which selectively eliminatesthe soluble APOA1 from plasma. Compared to conventional antibody, the mAb exerted in vivo efficacy by simultaneously engineering both pH-dependent antigen binding, to mimic the pH-dependent receptor-ligand binding of such endocytic receptors, and increased FcRn binding affinity at neutral pH, to mimic the cell-bound form of the receptors.
