The anti-C1QA eliminating antibody is an engineered pH-sensitive antibody against human C1QA. C1QA is a component of the complement system, with deficiencies linked to lupus and glomerulonephritis. The antibody has a novel C1QA-sweeping activity in vivo, which selectively eliminatesthe soluble C1QA from plasma. Compared to conventional antibody, the mAb exerted in vivo efficacy by simultaneously engineering both pH-dependent antigen binding, to mimic the pH-dependent receptor-ligand binding of such endocytic receptors, and increased FcRn binding affinity at neutral pH, to mimic the cell-bound form of the receptors.
