Recombinant Anti-CFB Eliminating Antibody, pH-Sensitive (VS-0625-YC56)

The anti-CFB eliminating antibody is an engineered pH-sensitive antibody against human CFB. CFB is part of complement activation, facilitating C3 convertase formation, linked with age-related macular degeneration. The antibody has a novel CFB-sweeping activity in vivo, which selectively eliminatesthe soluble CFB from plasma. Compared to conventional antibody, the mAb exerted in vivo efficacy by simultaneously engineering both pH-dependent antigen binding, to mimic the pH-dependent receptor-ligand binding of such endocytic receptors, and increased FcRn binding affinity at neutral pH, to mimic the cell-bound form of the receptors.
