The anti-CFH eliminating antibody is an engineered pH-sensitive antibody against human CFH. CFH, regulating complement activation, is associated with hemolytic-uremic syndrome. The antibody has a novel CFH-sweeping activity in vivo, which selectively eliminatesthe soluble CFH from plasma. Compared to conventional antibody, the mAb exerted in vivo efficacy by simultaneously engineering both pH-dependent antigen binding, to mimic the pH-dependent receptor-ligand binding of such endocytic receptors, and increased FcRn binding affinity at neutral pH, to mimic the cell-bound form of the receptors.
