CytoStream™ Rabbit Anti-METAP2 Recombinant Antibody (VS13-YC724) (CAT#: VS13-YC724)
The CytoStream™ Rabbit Anti-METAP2 Recombinant Antibody is specific for human, mouse and rat METAP2. METAP2 encodes a methionyl aminopeptidase inhibiting phosphorylations, active site-bound by anti-cancer drugs like fumagillin, with various splicing variants including several pseudogenes. The anti-METAP2 antibody was developed and selected by our CytoStream™ platform and the mAb is recommended for use in flow cytometry staining (1/50-1/100).
We specialize in custom recombinant antibody production, offering seamless execution from provided sequences to high-quality antibody deliverables, ensuring optimal yield and purity.

- Function
- Cotranslationally removes the N-terminal methionine from nascent proteins. The N-terminal methionine is often cleaved when the second residue in the primary sequence is small and uncharged (Met-Ala-, Cys, Gly, Pro, Ser, Thr, or Val). The catalytic activity of human METAP2 toward Met-Val peptides is consistently two orders of magnitude higher than that of METAP1, suggesting that it is responsible for processing proteins containing N-terminal Met-Val and Met-Thr sequences in vivo.
