SmartAb™ Recombinant Anti-NTN1 pH-dependent Antibody (VS-0825-YC272)

The anti-NTN1 pH-dependent antibody (VS-0825-YC272) targets human Netrin-1 (NTN1) in a pH-dependent manner, with its affinity remaining high at neutral pH but weakening at a lower pH, such as within the acidic environment of endosomes. The anti-NTN1 acid-switched antibody was engineered by incorporating histidine residues into its variable regions. The introduction of histidine substitutions within its Complementarity-Determining Regions (CDRs) enables pH-responsive antigen binding, which leads to enhanced NTN1 clearance. The antibody operates in a cyclical manner, binding Netrin-1 in the extracellular fluid and releasing it in acidified endosomes. Human Netrin-1 is a secreted protein that is best known for its role in guiding axon growth in the nervous system. It is also a key regulator of cell migration and survival, and its overexpression is frequently linked to cancer progression.
