Rabbit Anti-PHB2 Recombinant Antibody (clone 2506W33)

This high-performance Rabbit IgG monoclonal antibody, clone 2506W33, specifically targets Human, Mouse, and Rat Prohibitin 2 (PHB2), recognizing an epitope within amino acids 100-200 of the human protein. With a predicted antigen size of about 33 kDa, it's a versatile tool for various research applications. Recommended dilutions include 1:3000-1:6000 for Western Blot, 1:50-1:200 for IHC-P and IF/ICC, and 0.5-4µg per 200-400µg of cell extract for Immunoprecipitation. Ideal for detecting endogenous PHB2 in diverse sample types.

In the mitochondria, together with PHB, forms large ring complexes (prohibitin complexes) in the inner mitochondrial membrane (IMM) and functions as a chaperone protein that stabilizes mitochondrial respiratory enzymes and maintains mitochondrial integrity in the IMM, which is required for mitochondrial morphogenesis, neuronal survival, and normal lifespan (Probable).
