The anti-TAA pH-dependent antibody (clone B6.2) is a pH-responsive antibody engineered to target a human Tumor-Associated Antigen (TAA). This pH-switched monoclonal antibody (mAb) was developed by incorporating histidine residues into its variable regions, which results in pH-biased binding to the TAA. By leveraging the natural pH variations in different tissues and cellular compartments, this pH-responsive antibody facilitates precise targeting of the TAA on cells and tissues. A Tumor-Associated Antigen (TAA) is a broad term for antigens expressed on cancer cells. While not a single protein, TAAs are a key focus of cancer immunotherapy as they can be targeted to specifically destroy tumor cells while minimizing harm to healthy tissues.
