The anti-TMEM161B recombinant antibody (TM824) reacts with human TMEM161B. TMEM161B is a conserved multi-pass transmembrane protein with high expression in the brain and heart. While its exact molecular function is still being elucidated, it is implicated in the regulation of cellular morphology and cytoskeletal organization. Recent genomic studies link TMEM161B to neurodevelopmental processes and susceptibility to certain psychiatric disorders. The anti-TMEM161B antibody (TM824) has been tested in Immunohistochemistry (IHC).
