Recombinant Anti-ZIKV E (Domain II x Domain III) Biparatopic Antibody, Tandem scFv (Clone SMZAb2 x Clone SMZAb1) is a biparatopic antibody (bpAb) that targets two distinct epitopes on the ZIKV E protein. This construct was designed as a tandem scFv. It consists of the SMZAb2 scFv (binding domain II) N-terminally fused to the SMZAb1 scFv (specific for domain III of ZIKV E protein).

- Zika virus (ZIKV) infection causes devastating congenital abnormities and Guillain-Barré syndrome. The ZIKV envelope (E) protein is responsible for viral entry and represents a major determinant for viral pathogenesis. Like other flaviviruses, the ZIKV E protein is glycosylated at amino acid N154.
