- NCR1 (Natural Cytotoxicity Triggering Receptor 1), also known as NKp46, is a key activating receptor expressed on natural killer (NK) cells. It plays a crucial role in the innate immune system by mediating the recognition and killing of virus-infected and tumor cells. NCR1 recognizes viral and tumor-associated ligands, triggering NK cell activation and cytotoxic responses. Therefore it is a integral part of natural killer cell immunosurveillance.
