Recombinant Anti-ALB Eliminating Antibody, pH-Sensitive (DOM7r31 var.)

The anti-ALB eliminating antibody is an engineered pH-sensitive antibody against human and rat ALB. Albumin, synthesized in the liver, acts as a carrier for various molecules, stabilizing extracellular fluid. The antibody has a novel ALB-sweeping activity in vivo, which selectively eliminatesthe soluble ALB from plasma. Compared to conventional antibody, the mAb exerted in vivo efficacy by simultaneously engineering both pH-dependent antigen binding, to mimic the pH-dependent receptor-ligand binding of such endocytic receptors, and increased FcRn binding affinity at neutral pH, to mimic the cell-bound form of the receptors.
