AbPlus™ Anti-BTK Magnetic Beads (CBACN-075)

CAT#: VS-0424-XY34

The AbPlus Anti-BTK Magnetic Beads (CBACN-075) is an innovative affinity resin which is bound with anti-BTK specific antibody (CBACN-075). The beads were designed for small-scale affinity purification and immunoprecipitation (IP) of BTK protein under native and denaturing conditions.

Target

  • Introduction
  • The protein encoded by this gene plays a crucial role in B-cell development. Mutations in this gene cause X-linked agammaglobulinemia type 1, which is an immunodeficiency characterized by the failure to produce mature B lymphocytes, and associated with a failure of Ig heavy chain rearrangement. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms.

Breast cancer biomarkers at key points during disease progression
Reliable BTK Pull Down
These beads are essential for our B cell receptor signaling research. They reliably pull down BTK from B cell lysates, allowing us to monitor changes in kinase phosphorylation status under various stimulation conditions with high sensitivity.
Breast cancer biomarkers at key points during disease progression
Convenient For Kinase Assays
We found these beads very convenient for preparing samples for in vitro kinase assays. The binding is strong, so we don't lose the protein during wash steps, and the background is low enough to get clean results without interference.

Q&As

  1. What is the role of BTK and why isolate it with these beads?

A: Bruton's Tyrosine Kinase (BTK) is a critical enzyme in the B cell receptor signaling pathway. It is a major target in B cell malignancies and autoimmune diseases. Isolating BTK with these beads allows researchers to assess its activation state, phosphorylation levels, and interaction with other signaling molecules.

  2. Can these beads be used to screen for BTK inhibitors?

A: While not a high-throughput screening tool themselves, these beads are valuable for validating BTK inhibitors. Researchers can treat cells with potential inhibitors, then use the beads to pull down BTK and analyze its activity or phosphorylation status to confirm the drug's mechanism of action.
