Clone R09-4A1 is a rabbit IgG recombinant monoclonal antibody that is designed to specifically target human Btla protein, a calculated weight of 34 kDa. It cross-reacts with mouse.
The following recommendations serve as a starting point for assay optimization. The actual working concentration may vary and should be determined by the user. The R09-4A1 is recommended for detection of target protein by western blotting (dilution range 1:500-1:1000), immunohistochemistry (dilution range 1:50-1:100), immunoprecipitation (dilution range 1:20).

- Inhibitory receptor on lymphocytes that negatively regulates antigen receptor signaling via PTPN6/SHP-1 and PTPN11/SHP-2.
May interact in cis (on the same cell) or in trans (on other cells) with TNFRSF14.
In cis interactions, appears to play an immune regulatory role inhibiting in trans interactions in naive T cells to maintain a resting state. In trans interactions, can predominate during adaptive immune response to provide survival signals to effector T cells.
