Recombinant Anti-CALCA Eliminating Antibody, pH-Sensitive (7D5 var.)

The anti-CALCA eliminating antibody is an engineered pH-sensitive antibody against human CALCA. CALCA links to disorders like reflex sympathetic dystrophy and has roles in pathways regulating osteoporosis. The antibody has a novel CALCA-sweeping activity in vivo, which selectively eliminatesthe soluble CALCA from plasma. Compared to conventional antibody, the mAb exerted in vivo efficacy by simultaneously engineering both pH-dependent antigen binding, to mimic the pH-dependent receptor-ligand binding of such endocytic receptors, and increased FcRn binding affinity at neutral pH, to mimic the cell-bound form of the receptors.
