Anti-CHI3L1 antibody-conjugated liposomes are a novel drug delivery system for studying targeted therapy in glioma. CHI3L1 is a protein that is highly expressed in gliomas, and the binding of the antibody enables specific targeting and drug release. By conjugating the antibody with liposomes, there is a significant improvement in the bioavailability and intracellular uptake efficiency of the drug. This technology not only reduces the toxicity of the drug to normal cells but also helps to overcome drug resistance caused by the tumor microenvironment. Anti-CHI3L1 antibody-conjugated liposomes hold great clinical application potential in glioma research.

- Chitinases catalyze the hydrolysis of chitin, which is an abundant glycopolymer found in insect exoskeletons and fungal cell walls. The glycoside hydrolase 18 family of chitinases includes eight human family members. This gene encodes a glycoprotein member of the glycosyl hydrolase 18 family. The protein lacks chitinase activity and is secreted by activated macrophages, chondrocytes, neutrophils and synovial cells. The protein is thought to play a role in the process of inflammation and tissue remodeling.
