A chimeric mouse-human CHK-152 (ch-CHK-152) was derived from murine antibody CHK-152. The affinity of ch-CHK-152 binding to purified pE2-E1 was measured by surface plasmon resonance (SPR) and compared to the parent murine MAb. Notably, ch-CHK-152 and the murine CHK-152 all had similar affinity (KD of 3 to 4 nM) and neutralizing activity in cell culture.

- Adult C57BL/6 mice deficient for interferon regulatory factor 7 (Irf7 −/−) were infected with the La Reunion 2006 OPY-1 strain of CHIKV (CHIKV-LR). These mice were boosted with CHIK virus-like particles, soluble recombinant CHIKV E2 protein, or live CHIKV-LR.
