Recombinant Anti-CTSB Eliminating Antibody, pH-Sensitive (2A2 var.)

The anti-CTSB eliminating antibody is an engineered pH-sensitive antibody against human CTSB. CTSB is a cathepsin B, a protease involved in protein turnover and amyloid precursor processing. The antibody has a novel CTSB-sweeping activity in vivo, which selectively eliminatesthe soluble CTSB from plasma. Compared to conventional antibody, the mAb exerted in vivo efficacy by simultaneously engineering both pH-dependent antigen binding, to mimic the pH-dependent receptor-ligand binding of such endocytic receptors, and increased FcRn binding affinity at neutral pH, to mimic the cell-bound form of the receptors.
