The anti-GDF15 eliminating antibody is an engineered pH-sensitive antibody against human GDF15. GDF15, part of the TGF-beta family, is involved in stress responses and linked to conditions like inflammation and tissue injury. The antibody has a novel GDF15-sweeping activity in vivo, which selectively eliminatesthe soluble GDF15 from plasma. Compared to conventional antibody, the mAb exerted in vivo efficacy by simultaneously engineering both pH-dependent antigen binding, to mimic the pH-dependent receptor-ligand binding of such endocytic receptors, and increased FcRn binding affinity at neutral pH, to mimic the cell-bound form of the receptors.
