The anti-IFNB1 eliminating antibody is an engineered pH-sensitive antibody against human and cynomolgus IFNB1. IFNB1, a type I interferon, plays roles in pathogen response and anti-tumor defenses. The antibody has a novel IFNB1-sweeping activity in vivo, which selectively eliminatesthe soluble IFNB1 from plasma. Compared to conventional antibody, the mAb exerted in vivo efficacy by simultaneously engineering both pH-dependent antigen binding, to mimic the pH-dependent receptor-ligand binding of such endocytic receptors, and increased FcRn binding affinity at neutral pH, to mimic the cell-bound form of the receptors.
