The anti-LGMN mAb, a result of deep learning optimization, exhibits significant affinity for LGMN across human, mouse, and rat. LGMN (Legumain, also known as Asparaginyl Endopeptidase or AEP) is a highly specific cysteine protease that primarily cleaves peptide bonds following asparagine residues. While predominantly localized to the lysosome, it translocates to the cytosol and extracellular space under pathological conditions. It is a critical regulator of MHC Class II antigen processing and toll-like receptor (TLR) signaling, and it plays a major role in neurodegeneration by proteolytically processing substrates like Tau and Amyloid Precursor Protein (APP), thereby driving apoptotic signaling cascades.
