The anti-LTA eliminating antibody is an engineered pH-sensitive antibody against human LTA. LTA, a lymphocyte-produced cytokine, binds receptors impacting immune and tumor cell interactions. The antibody has a novel LTA-sweeping activity in vivo, which selectively eliminatesthe soluble LTA from plasma. Compared to conventional antibody, the mAb exerted in vivo efficacy by simultaneously engineering both pH-dependent antigen binding, to mimic the pH-dependent receptor-ligand binding of such endocytic receptors, and increased FcRn binding affinity at neutral pH, to mimic the cell-bound form of the receptors.
