Rabbit Anti-MFN2 Recombinant Antibody (clone R56-8V-9)

CAT#: VS3-FY2117

Clone R56-8V-9 is a rabbit IgG recombinant monoclonal antibody that was developed to identify human MFN2 protein, a calculated weight of 86 kDa. It cross-reacts with mouse, rat.
The following recommendations serve as a starting point for assay optimization. The actual working concentration may vary and should be determined by the user. The R56-8V-9 is recommended for detection of target protein by western blotting (dilution range 1:500-1:1000), immunohistochemistry (dilution range 1:100-1:200), immunofluorescence (dilution range 1:50-1:200).

  • Function
  • Plays an important role in the regulation of vascular smooth muscle cell proliferation (By similarity).
Involved in the clearance of damaged mitochondria via selective autophagy (mitophagy).
Is required for PRKN recruitment to dysfunctional mitochondria.
Involved in the control of unfolded protein response (UPR) upon ER stress including activation of apoptosis and autophagy during ER stress (By similarity).
Acts as an upstream regulator of EIF2AK3 and suppresses EIF2AK3 activation under basal conditions (By similarity).
