Recombinant Human Anti-SCARB1 Antibody (mAb8) (CAT#: HPAB-1609-FY)

This product is a recombinant antibody that recognizes SCARB1. The monoclonal antibody mAb8 reacts with the epitope of SCARB1. MAb8 inhibits infection of HCV in AlbUPA-SCID chimeric mice uPA-SCID mice were transplanted with cryopreserved primary human hepatocytes. MAb8 prevents HCV infection in vivo. Thus, antibodies against SRB1 can prevent infection of HCV virus.

The effect of mAb8 and mAb151 on direct cell-to-cell transmission of HCV was investigated by combining Huh-7.5-RFPNLS-IPS target cells with Jc1-transfected Huh-7.5-EGFP-IPS cells. These cocultures were pretreated with increasing concentrations of mAb8 and 151 (0; 0.2; 2; 20 μg/ml) in the presence of a neutralizing anti-HCV antibody (nAb, 150 μg/ ml).

Huh7.5 cells were infected with HCVcc upon pre-incubation with increasing concentrations (ng/ml) of anti-SR-Bl mAbs. Infectivity was measured 3 days post-infection.

CHO/SR-BI and parental CHO cells were incubated for 1 h with 10 μg/ml of various anti-SR-BI antibodies or control, isotype-matched human IgG. Binding was revealed by allophycocyanin-conjugated goat anti-human IgG and subsequent flow cytometry analysis.
