This product is a recombinant antibody that recognizes SCARB1. The monoclonal antibody mAb81 reacts with the epitope of SCARB1. The antibody is capable of inhibiting a HCV virus to bind to the SR-B 1 receptor.

CHO/SR-BI and parental CHO cells were incubated for 1 h with 10 μg/ml of various anti-SR-BI antibodies or control, isotype-matched human IgG. Binding was revealed by allophycocyanin-conjugated goat anti-human IgG and subsequent flow cytometry analysis.

Figure 3 Huh7-J20 cells were infected with HCVcc (J6/JFH1) upon pre-incubation with anti-SR-BI mAbs at a concentration of 10 μg/ml.
Infectivity was measured by SEAP assay 3 days post-infection. The vertical axis shows the percentage of HCVcc infection calculated from the SEAP signal measured in mAb-treated cultures and relative to the SEAP-signal measured in non-treated cultures.
