Breast cancer biomarkers at key points during disease progression
Specific Bands In Western Blot
Detecting calcium channel subunits can be tricky, but this rabbit polyclonal antibody yielded specific bands for CACNG1 in our Western Blot analysis of skeletal muscle lysates. The peptide affinity purification seems to have eliminated most non-specific interactions, which is often a problem with polyclonal antibodies.
Breast cancer biomarkers at key points during disease progression
Validated For IHC And IF
We successfully employed this antibody for both Immunohistochemistry and Immunofluorescence to visualize the localization of the gamma-1 subunit. It cross-reacts well with both human and mouse tissue as stated, which allowed us to perform comparative studies between our animal models and human samples using the same reagent.

Q&As

  1. What immunogen was used to generate this polyclonal antibody?

A: This rabbit polyclonal antibody was generated using a synthetic peptide within human CACNG1, specifically corresponding to amino acids 10-60. It cross-reacts with Human, Mouse, and Rat CACNG1 (Calcium Voltage-Gated Channel Auxiliary Subunit Gamma 1).

  2. What are the recommended applications for this antibody?

A: This antibody is suitable for a variety of immunoassay techniques, including Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunofluorescence (IF), and Flow Cytometry (FC). The antibody is peptide affinity purified to ensure specificity.
