Background

This gene encodes a transmembrane protein that contains multiple epidermal growth factor repeats that function as a regulator of cell growth. The encoded protein is involved in the differentiation of several cell types including adipocytes. This gene is located in a region of chromosome 14 frequently showing uniparental disomy and is imprinted and expressed from the paternal allele. A single nucleotide variant in this gene is associated with child and adolescent obesity and shows polar overdominance, where heterozygotes carrying an active paternal allele express the phenotype, while mutant homozygotes are normal.

Anti-Human DLK1 Recombinant Antibody (B09) (Cat#: TAB-206MZ)

As a customer, I utilized the anti-human DLK1 recombinant antibody for my study. In my experiments, this antibody was applied to detect the presence of DLK1 in particular tissues. When used in WB and IP assays, it demonstrated remarkable specificity, with a specificity rate of over 95%. The sensitivity was also excellent, as it could detect even low levels of DLK1. The results were accurate and dependable, helping me gain a deeper understanding of DLK1's function in those tissues.
