Recombinant Anti-APOE Eliminating Antibody, pH-Sensitive (2E8 var.)

The anti-APOE eliminating antibody is an engineered pH-sensitive antibody against human APOE. APOE is a key apoprotein for lipid metabolism, with mutations causing hyperlipoproteinemia. The antibody has a novel APOE-sweeping activity in vivo, which selectively eliminatesthe soluble APOE from plasma. Compared to conventional antibody, the mAb exerted in vivo efficacy by simultaneously engineering both pH-dependent antigen binding, to mimic the pH-dependent receptor-ligand binding of such endocytic receptors, and increased FcRn binding affinity at neutral pH, to mimic the cell-bound form of the receptors.
