Mouse Anti-ID4 Recombinant Antibody (ID471)

The anti-ID4 recombinant antibody (ID471) reacts with human ID4. ID4 is an HLH transcriptional regulator that primarily functions by sequestering basic HLH (bHLH) transcription factors, thereby inhibiting the differentiation of neural and osteoblast lineages. Unlike other ID members, ID4 often shows tissue-specific tumor-suppressive roles, particularly in breast and prostate cancers where its promoter is frequently hypermethylated. However, in certain contexts like glioblastoma, ID4 signaling acts as an oncogene by promoting the "stemness" of cancer stem cells. It serves as a critical node in the Notch and BMP signaling axes, coordinating the timing of cellular maturation with the cell cycle. The anti-ID4 antibody (ID471) has been tested in Immunohistochemistry (IHC).
