Recombinant Anti-MFGE8 Eliminating Antibody, pH-Sensitive (Mc3 var.)

The anti-MFGE8 eliminating antibody is an engineered pH-sensitive antibody against human MFGE8. MFGE8 is a lactadherin, a glycoprotein aiding in apoptotic cell phagocytosis and implicated in autoimmune diseases and cancer. The antibody has a novel MFGE8-sweeping activity in vivo, which selectively eliminatesthe soluble MFGE8 from plasma. Compared to conventional antibody, the mAb exerted in vivo efficacy by simultaneously engineering both pH-dependent antigen binding, to mimic the pH-dependent receptor-ligand binding of such endocytic receptors, and increased FcRn binding affinity at neutral pH, to mimic the cell-bound form of the receptors.
