The anti-S100A4 eliminating antibody is an engineered pH-sensitive antibody against human and mouse S100A4. S100A4, a calcium-binding protein, contributes to tumor metastasis and cellular processes. The antibody has a novel S100A4-sweeping activity in vivo, which selectively eliminatesthe soluble S100A4 from plasma. Compared to conventional antibody, the mAb exerted in vivo efficacy by simultaneously engineering both pH-dependent antigen binding, to mimic the pH-dependent receptor-ligand binding of such endocytic receptors, and increased FcRn binding affinity at neutral pH, to mimic the cell-bound form of the receptors.
