Recombinant Anti-SPP1 (Thrombin x MMP cleavage site) Biparatopic Antibody, Tandem scFv (mAb 4-4-2 x mAb 7-5-4) (CAT#: VS-0525-YC228)
The Recombinant Anti-SPP1 (Thrombin x MMP cleavage site) Biparatopic Antibody, Tandem scFv (mAb 4-4-2 x mAb 7-5-4) is a biparatopic antibody (bpAb) that binds two distinct SPP1 epitopes. This construct was designed as a tandem scFv. It features the mAb 4-4-2 scFv N-terminally fused to the mAb 7-5-4 scFv. While mAb 4-4-2 specifically interacts with ThrOpn (though without blocking capacity in this functional assay), mAb 7-5-4 targets the MMP cleavage site and inhibits MmpOpn-induced adhesion of HEK cells.

Target
- Introduction
- The protein encoded by this gene is involved in the attachment of osteoclasts to the mineralized bone matrix. The encoded protein is secreted and binds hydroxyapatite with high affinity. The osteoclast vitronectin receptor is found in the cell membrane and may be involved in the binding to this protein. This protein is also a cytokine that upregulates expression of interferon-gamma and interleukin-12. Several transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
