Recombinant Anti-VWF Eliminating Antibody, pH-Sensitive (F8/86 var.)

The anti-VWF eliminating antibody is an engineered pH-sensitive antibody against human VWF. VWF is a glycoprotein essential for hemostasis, with mutations causing von Willebrand disease. The antibody has a novel VWF-sweeping activity in vivo, which selectively eliminatesthe soluble VWF from plasma. Compared to conventional antibody, the mAb exerted in vivo efficacy by simultaneously engineering both pH-dependent antigen binding, to mimic the pH-dependent receptor-ligand binding of such endocytic receptors, and increased FcRn binding affinity at neutral pH, to mimic the cell-bound form of the receptors.
