Human Anti-ACVR2B scFv-Fc Chimera (VS-0425-FY31) (CAT#: VS-0425-FY31)
The anti-ACVR2B scFv-Fc antibody is a monoclonal antibody with high affinity that specifically binds to the human AcRIIB protein. AcRIIB is a receptor for activins A and B, growth factors that play important roles in various biological processes, including cell proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis. The antibody binds specifically to two regions of AcRIIB through its single-chain variable fragment (scFv) domain, and the Fc fragment endows it with the ability to interact with immune effector molecules such as Fc receptors and the complement system. This high-affinity binding characteristic makes it a potential therapeutic tool for treating diseases associated with abnormal activation of the activin signaling pathway, such as certain types of cancer and fibrotic diseases. Additionally, the antibody can be used to study the role of the activin signaling pathway in diseases and as a potential therapeutic target.
We specialize in custom recombinant antibody production, offering seamless execution from provided sequences to high-quality antibody deliverables, ensuring optimal yield and purity.

- Function
- Activin is also thought to have a paracrine or autocrine role in follicular development in the ovary. Within the receptor complex, the type-2 receptors act as a primary activin receptors (binds activin-A/INHBA, activin-B/INHBB as well as inhibin-A/INHA-INHBA). The type-1 receptors like ACVR1B act as downstream transducers of activin signals. Activin binds to type-2 receptor at the plasma membrane and activates its serine-threonine kinase. The activated receptor type-2 then phosphorylates and activates the type-1 receptor.
