Recombinant Anti-ADAMTS5 Eliminating Antibody, pH-Sensitive (7B4 var.)

The anti-ADAMTS5 eliminating antibody is an engineered pH-sensitive antibody against human ADAMTS5. ADAMTS5 acts as aggrecanase, cleaving cartilage proteoglycan. The antibody has a novel ADAMTS5-sweeping activity in vivo, which selectively eliminatesthe soluble ADAMTS5 from plasma. Compared to conventional antibody, the mAb exerted in vivo efficacy by simultaneously engineering both pH-dependent antigen binding, to mimic the pH-dependent receptor-ligand binding of such endocytic receptors, and increased FcRn binding affinity at neutral pH, to mimic the cell-bound form of the receptors.
