SmartAb™ Recombinant Anti-CD47 pH-dependent Antibody (Clone BC31M4)

BC31M4 is a pH-dependent anti-CD47 antibody that exhibits preferential binding to CD47 under acidic conditions. BC31M4 binds to CD47 and blocks the CD47-SIRP alpha interaction more efficiently at an acidic pH than at a physiological pH. Human CD47 is a "don't eat me" signal protein ubiquitously expressed on the surface of most healthy cells. It binds to the SIRP alpha receptor on phagocytic cells, such as macrophages, to prevent their engulfment and destruction. However, its overexpression on cancer cells allows them to evade destruction by the innate immune system.
