This anti-intercellular adhesion molecule 1 (ICAM-1) conjugated liposome, also known as an immunoliposome (ILs), is designed to selectively target and bind to activated human coronary artery endothelial cells (HCAEC). By specifically attaching to these cells, the immunoliposomes can enhance the visibility of early atherosclerotic plaques during computed tomography imaging, thus facilitating earlier diagnosis of atherosclerosis. The potential use of this innovative imaging agent represents a significant advancement in cardiovascular diagnostics and may lead to improved patient outcomes through timely intervention and treatment.

Antibody Description
This is a mouse anti-human ICAM-1 antibody. The anti-ICAM-1 did not exhibit any binding to non-activated human coronary arterial endothelial cells (HCAEC). In contrast, significant binding of the anti-ICAM-1 antibody was observed in IL-1β-activated HCAEC.
