TES-C21 antibody, mufine IgG2a, was tested for its ability to induce complement-mediated cytotoxicity of SE44 ceils at the concentrations indicated. Polyclonal rabbit anti-mouse lymphocyte antiserum (RAML) was used as positive control, and an IgG subclass-matched murine myeloma (MulgG) was used as a negative control. Data shown are from one representative of four experiments. The 100 μg/ml values for TES-C21 and the control antibody were different at the 0.05 level at both complement dilutions used.

Figure 2 Inhibition of IgE-producing tumor growth in mice.

Mice were injected subcutaneously with 5×10 6 tumorigenic SE44 cells on day 0 and the proportion of mice remaining tumor free was determined at 3- to 4-day intervals. Mice were treated on day-2 with intraperitoneal injection of 200 μg/mouse of TES-C21-IgG2a, or control murine IgG2a. Subsequent intraperitoneal injections of 100 μg mAb/mouse were given on days 3, 7 and 10.
