SmartAb™ Recombinant Anti-IL10 pH-dependent Antibody (VS-0825-YC170)

The anti-IL10 pH-dependent antibody (VS-0825-YC170) targets human IL10 in a pH-dependent manner, with its affinity remaining high at neutral pH but weakening at a lower pH, such as within the acidic environment of endosomes. The anti-IL10 acid-switched antibody was engineered by incorporating histidine residues into its variable regions. The introduction of histidine substitutions within its Complementarity-Determining Regions (CDRs) enables pH-responsive antigen binding, which leads to enhanced IL10 clearance. The antibody operates in a cyclical manner, binding IL10 in the extracellular fluid and releasing it in acidified endosomes. Human IL-10, or Interleukin-10, is a potent anti-inflammatory cytokine that plays a crucial role in immune regulation and homeostasis. It suppresses the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines and is a key player in preventing autoimmune diseases.
