Rabbit Anti-NEDD8 Recombinant Antibody (clone R02-4G8)

The R02-4G8 recombinant monoclonal antibody has the ability to specifically bind to human NEDD8. It is suitable for use in a variety of assays, including WB, IHC-F, IHC-P, ICC/IF, IP. We confirm the QC result of the antibody by western blot (dilution 1/500-1/1000), immunohistochemistry (dilution 1/50-1/100), immunofluorescence (dilution 1/50-1/200), immunoprecipitation (dilution 1/20). Applications Tested: The NEDD8 antibody has been tested by western blot analysis of NEDD8 in Jurkat lysates.

- Ubiquitin-like protein which plays an important role in cell cycle control and embryogenesis via its conjugation to a limited number of cellular proteins, such as cullins or p53/TP53.
Attachment of NEDD8 to cullins is critical for the recruitment of E2 to the cullin-RING-based E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase complex, thus facilitating polyubiquitination and proteasomal degradation of cyclins and other regulatory proteins.
Attachment of NEDD8 to p53/TP53 inhibits p53/TP53 transcriptional activity.
Covalent attachment to its substrates requires prior activation by the E1 complex UBE1C-APPBP1 and linkage to the E2 enzyme UBE2M.
