Recombinant Anti-TIMP1 Eliminating Antibody, pH-Sensitive (MS-BW-27 var.)

The anti-TIMP1 eliminating antibody is an engineered pH-sensitive antibody against human and rat TIMP1. TIMP1, inhibiting matrix metalloproteinases, promotes cell proliferation and potentially affects immune response. The antibody has a novel TIMP1-sweeping activity in vivo, which selectively eliminatesthe soluble TIMP1 from plasma. Compared to conventional antibody, the mAb exerted in vivo efficacy by simultaneously engineering both pH-dependent antigen binding, to mimic the pH-dependent receptor-ligand binding of such endocytic receptors, and increased FcRn binding affinity at neutral pH, to mimic the cell-bound form of the receptors.
