- The product of this gene is a membrane protein expressed on the oligodendrocyte cell surface and the outermost surface of myelin sheaths. Due to this localization, it is a primary target antigen involved in immune-mediated demyelination. This protein may be involved in completion and maintenance of the myelin sheath and in cell-cell communication. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.

Reliable MOG Specific Tetramer
This H-2Db tetramer loaded with the Human MOG peptide VGWYRSPFSRVVHL was excellent for our autoimmune research. It allowed us to detect specific T cells in our mouse models with high precision using flow cytometry. The APC signal was robust.
Key Tool For Demyelination Study
We used this reagent to track immune responses to myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein. The tetramer binding was specific, enabling us to characterize the antigen-specific populations involved in the disease process. The product quality is consistently high.
