Background

The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the ser/thr protein kinase family. It is the catalytic subunit of the 5'-prime-AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK). AMPK is a cellular energy sensor conserved in all eukaryotic cells. The kinase activity of AMPK is activated by the stimuli that increase the cellular AMP/ATP ratio. AMPK regulates the activities of a number of key metabolic enzymes through phosphorylation. It protects cells from stresses that cause ATP depletion by switching off ATP-consuming biosynthetic pathways. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been observed.

Mouse Anti-PRKAA1 Recombinant Antibody (ZG-0285F) (CAT#: ZG-0285F)
The Mouse Anti-PRKAA1 Recombinant Antibody works well in WB using HEK293T lysates, detecting a clear band at the expected size. It also performs in IP assays with good specificity. Tested in mouse liver tissue, it shows minimal background. While it hasn’t been validated in IF/IHC, it’s reliable for basic PRKAA1 detection in lysate-based assays. A cost-effective option if you need consistent WB results.

Recombinant Mouse Anti-PRKAA1 Monoclonal Antibody (B1-E10) (CAT#: MRO-0089-CN)
The Recombinant Mouse Anti-PRKAA1 antibody has worked well for IF in our lab. We've used it successfully in fixed HeLa cells, showing clear cytoplasmic staining with minimal background. It also performed adequately in mouse liver cryosections, though signal intensity varied slightly between samples. While we haven't tested it extensively in other applications, it's been reliable for our basic localization studies. The batch-to-batch consistency appears good based on our limited use.

Mouse Anti-PRKAA1 Recombinant Antibody (clone B1-E10) (CAT#: VS3-XY1296)
Mouse Anti-PRKAA1 has been useful for our IHC experiments on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded mouse liver and kidney tissues. At 1:150 dilution, it produces specific nuclear and cytoplasmic staining that aligns with PRKAA1 expression patterns. The signal is clean with minimal background when using citrate-based antigen retrieval. We noticed slightly weaker staining in heart tissue samples. While it works consistently in mouse tissues, we haven't verified its cross-reactivity in other species. For the price, it's a decent option for basic murine tissue studies, though optimization may be needed for different fixation protocols.
