Application Notes
The CSF1R antibody has been reported in applications of Flow Cytometry. TAMs were isolated from other leukocytes by positive selection for CD115 (anti-mouse CD115-PE, clone AFS98, Biolegend) used at a 1:200 dilution in FACS buffer and incubated at 4°C for 30 minutes. After washing, the cells were incubated with anti-PE microbeads (Miltenyi Biotec) at a 1:10 dilution in FACS buffer at 4°C for a further 20 minutes.

Robust Flow Cytometry Marker

We used the AFS98 clone for isolating tumor-associated macrophages. It worked exceptionally well in Flow Cytometry to select for CD115 positive cells. The binding to the mouse CSF-1R was specific and allowed for efficient cell sorting.

This rat monoclonal antibody is highly specific for the mouse colony stimulating factor 1 receptor. It has been instrumental in our research regarding macrophage differentiation and function, providing consistent results in our FACS buffer incubations.
